A vehicle crashed into a canal Tuesday in Blythe, injuring four people and prompting a multi-agency emergency response.
The crash occurred around 7:24 p.m. Tuesday in the 20000 block of Rannells Boulevard near 20th Avenue.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, one person managed to get out of the vehicle without assistance, while three others required help from firefighters.
Two people with critical injuries were airlifted to a regional trauma center, while two other victims sustained less serious injuries and were taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Authorities have not released information on the cause of the crash or the names of those involved as the investigation continued Tuesday evening.
