The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Thursday to its lowest amount since Jan. 16, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $4.348.
The average price has dropped nine of the past 10 days, decreasing 4.7 cents, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.
The average price is 3.2 cents less than one week ago, 10.6 cents lower than one month ago and 31 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.025 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged, remaining a $3.16, one day after increasing 1 cent. It is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, seven-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 35.2 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.856 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
