The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Monday for the second consecutive day following a run of 11 decreases in 12 days, increasing a half-cent to $4.337.
The average price is 3 cents less than one week ago, 13.2 cents lower than one month ago and 26.2 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $2.036 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
Sunday’s increase of four-tenths of a cent ended the run totaling 6.7 cents that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since Jan. 15.
The national average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.14, after three consecutive decreases totaling 2 cents, including a half-cent Sunday. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 7.9 cents lower than one month ago and 36.1 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.876 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
