The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose eight-tenths of a cent to $4.326 Thursday after dropping one-tenth of a cent and remaining unchanged the previous two days.
The average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago but 1.1 cents less than one month ago and 12.5 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.047 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.137, one day after a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents ended with an increase of three-tenths of a cent.
The national average price is 2.3 cents less than one week ago, three-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 26 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.879 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
