The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose nine-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.502, its highest amount since June 9, one day after increasing 1.4 cents
The average price is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 19 cents higher than one month ago and a half-cent greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.871 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price decreased three-tenths of a cent to $3.197, one day after dropping four-tenths of a cent. The back-to-back decreases follow three consecutive increases totaling 1.8 cents.
The national average price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 3.1 cents higher than one month ago but 8.4 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.819 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
