The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since June 6, increasing 1.1 cents to $4.533.

The average price has risen five consecutive days, increasing 5.4 cents, including 1.6 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The increases follow back-to-back decreases totaling four-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 5 cents more than one week ago, 22.6 cents higher than one month ago and 3.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.84 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.193, one day after dropping six-tenths of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 5.4 cents higher than one month ago but 6.7 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.823 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
