The six-day streak of decreases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County ended Monday with an increase of two-tenths of a cent to $4.699.
The average price dropped 7.1 cents during the streak, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 6.9 cents less than one week ago but 11.8 cents more than one month ago and 37.3 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.674 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.073 after back-to-back decreases of four-tenths of a cent. It is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 2.2 cents higher than one month ago and one-tenth of a cent greater than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.943 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
