The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Monday for the 13th time in 14 days, falling two-tenths of a cent to $4.63.
The average price has dropped 13.8 cents over the past 14 days, including 1.2 cents Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent last Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.
The average price is 6.9 cents less than one week ago, but 9.7 cents more than one month ago and 29.5 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.743 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the fourth consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.069. It has dropped 3.1 cents over the past four days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The streak of dropping national prices follows a four-day streak of increases totaling 2.8 cents
The national average price is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but one-tenth of a cent more than one month ago and 1.3 cents higher than one year ago. It has dropped $1.947 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
