Brothers of the Desert, a nonprofit organization that supports the Black LGBT community in the Coachella Valley, will host a New Year’s Eve gala and fundraiser at Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs aimed to raise money for its scholarship fund and other programs.
The event, themed for Brazil’s annual Carnival celebration, will be held from 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. the following day at 1600 N. Indian Canyon Drive.
It will feature live music provided by DJ Space and Big Al, dinner, wine, a midnight champagne toast and a performance by comedian Kimberly Clark.
