A 19-year-old inmate found unresponsive inside a housing cell at the Robert Presley Detention Center died in an apparent suicide, authorities announced Friday.
Deputies found Ezekiel Cuenca-Torres on Thursday, prompting corrections staff and jail medical personnel to immediately administer lifesaving measures assisted by county paramedics, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Despite efforts of resuscitation, Cuenca-Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials said there were no signs of foul play.
