The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped one-tenth of a cent Sunday to $4.13.
The average price is six-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, but 10.7 cents less than one month ago and 23.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.243 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
“Drivers should continue to aggressively shop for the lowest gas prices … to take advantage of these lower prices while they last,” Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager, said in a statement last week.
The national average price fell six-tenths of a cent to $2.824. It is 2.9 cents more than one week ago, but 7.2 cents less than one month ago and 29.6 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $2.192 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
