A 28-year-old man was killed and five other people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Los Feliz.
The man was ejected from a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
He was later identified by the Medical Examiner’s office as Moses Jimenez. His city of residence was not available.
The crash occurred at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday on the northbound freeway at Los Feliz Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A 28-year-old man with serious injuries was rushed to a hospital, as well as a 61-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and two 22-year-old men in fair condition, said Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A Sigalert, issued at 3:39 a.m. closing all northbound lanes, was canceled at 9:54 a.m., the CHP stated.
