Forecasters predicted dry weather and a gradual warming trend to start this weekend and going into next week, the National Weather Service announced.
Sunday’s highs were expected to reach 68 in the downtown Riverside area, 65 in Hemet, 67 in Temecula, 70 in the Coachella Valley and 69 in Palm Springs.
“Drier conditions and a gradual warming trend will occur from the beginning through mid part of next week as a positively-tilted ridge begins to build in over the Great Basin,” the NWS said.
On Monday, temperatures were expected to reach 71 in the downtown Riverside area, rising to 74 by Friday. In Hemet, temperatures were expected to reach 68 on Monday and up to 73 by Friday. Temecula was expected to reach 70 on Monday and increasing to 73 by Friday, according to the NWS.
The Coachella Valley was predicted to reach 70 by Monday and 78 by Friday while Palm Springs was expected to reach 68 Monday and 77 Friday.
