Above-average temperatures were expected throughout Riverside County this weekend and through early next week, forecasters said.

Saturday’s highs were expected to reach 94 in the downtown Riverside area, 89 in Temecula, 96 in Hemet, and 110 in Coachella and Palm Springs, according to the National Weather Service.

“Conditions will be fairly similar day to day through at least mid-week, with only minor trends in temperature and depth and extent of the nightly/morning low clouds,” the NWS announced Saturday.

“Heat-related impacts affecting those sensitive to heat, will continue for the deserts through next Wednesday,” the NWS added.

A slight cooling trend was expected to follow from mid to late next week.

By Thursday, temperatures in the downtown Riverside area were expected to drop to the mid-80s, while temperatures in Temecula were expected to drop to the low 80s and Hemet was expected to be in the upper 80s.

In the Coachella Valley and Palm Springs, temperatures were expected to drop to 105 by Thursday, according to the NWS.
