The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Sunday for the 24th time in 25 days, falling 1.6 cents to $5.596, its lowest amount since March 19.
The average price has dropped 46.9 cents over the past 25 days, including 3.3 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 16.3 cents less than one week ago and 47.5 cents less than one month ago, but $1.141 more than one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 24th consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $4.074, its lowest amount since April 24. It has fallen 49 cents over the past 24 days, including 2.2 cents Saturday. The national average price is 10 cents less than one week ago and 46 cents less than one month ago, but 94 cents more than one year ago.
