An 83-year-old East Hemet man who disappeared over Christmas, and for whom authorities had been searching since, was located earlier this week, apparently unharmed, the California Highway Patrol said Friday.
Details on exactly where and when Mahmoud Fouladi was found were not immediately available.
According to the CHP, the Silver Alert that had been activated when the senior vanished last Dec. 25 — leading to statewide notifications for law enforcement and the public to be on the lookout for him — was rescinded Friday at the request of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The agency published a notice on social media saying simply “located.” Additional information was requested.
Fouladi’s loved ones reported him missing when he wandered away from a business in the area of Columbia Street and East Florida Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 25.
There was no word on why he left or where he went.
