The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre will celebrate drag, identity and glamour with a curated film series during Labor Day weekend.
“Drag Me to the Movies” will take place from Sept. 5-6 at the theater at 128 S. Palm Canyon Drive.
Four films featuring drag-centric and LGBTQ+ culture will be screened over two days. The lineup for Sept. 5 will be:
— “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” at 2 p.m.; and
— “The Birdcage” at 7 p.m.
The Sept. 6 lineup will be:
— “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” at 2 p.m.; and
— “Cabaret” at 7 p.m.
Officials said the weekend will celebrate the enduring legacy of drag, self-expression and authentic living.
