A dozen amateur boxing bouts with fighters from the Inland Empire and neighboring locations with Olympic dreams will be held Friday in Riverside.
USA Boxing and the Riverside Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department will jointly host the Arlanza Boxing Club Show, with weigh-ins starting at 4 p.m. Friday and the opening bout set for around 7 p.m. in the Arlanza Community Center at Bryant Park, 7950 Philbin Ave.
Fighters in all weight classes are set to compete. A total of 12 matches are scheduled.
Adult tickets are $20 a piece, while tickets for spectators 11 years old and under are $5.
USA Boxing is the Olympic national governing body for boxing in the United States. In Olympic-style boxing, fighters are required to wear head gear and follow strict guidelines to score points.
