A 16-acre Riverside County-owned venue in Cherry Valley will re-open Saturday, following a yearlong series of renovations, and the public is invited to the ceremony.
The Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens will once again be accessible after a “grand re-opening” celebration scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday in the main building, 9401 Oak Glen Road, according to the county Office of Economic Development.
“Arts and culture bring people together and help define a community’s identity,” Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez, whose Fifth District encompasses the museum property, said Tuesday. “I’m thrilled to welcome residents back to the Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens to enjoy its art, history and beautifully refreshed grounds.”
Officials said the series of upgrades and alterations that began in mid September 2025 and wrapped up earlier this month, include new flooring, expanded restrooms and kitchen space, a new addition called the “Kay Plaza,” enhanced lighting and a fresh coat of paint.
Refinements were also made to landscaping around the venue, and all features are now Americans with Disabilities Act-complaint, according to the Office of Economic Development.
The specific budget for the renovation and expansion project wasn’t immediately available.
The museum property is popular for private weddings, public community events and related activities.
