The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will conduct their first Irish Heritage Night at Friday night’s game against the Boston Red Sox at Angel Stadium.
The team is offering a discounted ticket package which includes a green Irish-themed Angels cap. The Orange County-based band The Fenians, which play a mix of traditional Irish folk music and rock ‘n’ roll, will perform from 5:30- 6:45 p.m. and be accompanied by Irish dancers in the Gate 1 Music Garden.
Drink specials will also be available in the Music Garden.
The Angels are scheduled to hold German, Italian and Filipino heritage nights later in the season, according to John Rozak, the team’s senior marketing manager.
“We added these events to add something new, exciting and different to our normal Friday night pregame entertainment,” Rozak told City News Service.
