Two days ahead of Kobe Bryant’s final game, the Los Angeles Lakers Monday warned fans to beware of people trying to capitalize by peddling bogus tickets.

The team urged fans to be wary of buying tickets from third-party sources, and instead buy them either directly from the team or through the Lakers Ticket Exchange at Lakers.com.

“We want to make sure buyers are knowledgeable about purchasing tickets from the secondary market,” said Tim Harris, the team’s senior vice president of business operations. “Lakers Ticket Exchange at Lakers.com is the only secondary site where purchases are authenticated and verified by Ticketmaster, and fans will be assured of entrance into Staples Center on game nights.

“Lakers fans can save themselves the aggravation and frustration of being denied access to a game by buying tickets directly from us or at Lakers Ticket Exchange at Lakers.com.”
