
County music star Keith Urban will be the honorary public address announcer and present the starting lineup as the Dodgers go all out to spark fan interest Monday night.
A special loaded hot dog will also be available at Dodger Stadium for fans who want to eat themselves into a stupor.
The New York Dog is a quarter-pound all-beef hot dog topped with Sabrett’s onions in sauce, sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard. It will be available at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession locations on the field, loge and reserve levels throughout the Los Angeles Dodgers’ four-game series against the New York Mets..
The Military Hero of the Game will be retired U.S. Army Sgt. Caston Marrujo of Los Angeles. Marrujo graduated from airborne school and deployed to Afghanistan in 2002 and Iraq in 2005.
Marrujo’s awards include the Purple Heart, which was presented to him by then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2006.
The national anthem will be sung by actress and television personality Kelly Packard, who has appeared on “Baywatch,” “California Dreams” and “The Wonder Years” and co-hosted “Ripley’s Believe It or Not.”
The game marks the start of the Retired Numbers Pin Series, with the first 40,000 fans in attendance receiving a No. 1 pin for the jersey worn by Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame shortstop Pee Wee Reese.
Auto gates will open at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates at 5:10 p.m. The Dodgers will take batting practice from 4:20-5:20 p.m. and the Mets from 5:25- 6:20 p.m. Pregame ceremonies, including the national anthem and ceremonial first pitch, will begin at 6:57 p.m., with the game set to start at 7:10 p.m.
