The Los Angeles Rams selected Texas A&M receiver Josh Reynolds Saturday with their first choice of the final day of the NFL draft, then chose three defensive players and a fullback.
Reynolds was chosen with the 10th pick in the fourth round, the 117th overall selection. He caught a school-record 13 touchdown passes in 2014 and is the only player in Southeastern Conference history with multiple 90-yard-plus touchdown catches.
“For a guy who did not have any offers coming out of high school, Josh has made himself into an NFL prospect,” Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin said. “While at Texas A&M he continuously set records for touchdown receptions and the 50/50 balls improved to 80/20 in our favor when Josh was targeted.”
The Rams made outside linebacker Samson Ebukam the second player from Eastern Washington of the second-tier Football Championship Subdivision they selected in the 2017 draft when they chose him with the 19th pick in the fourth round, the 119th overall selection.
The Rams had drafted Eastern Washington receiver Cooper Kupp in the third round Friday.
The Rams traded their fifth-round choice to Buffalo Friday as part of a swap of draft choices.
Their next choice came in the sixth round when they selected Tulane defensive tackle Tanzel Smart with the 189th overall selection. With a choice the Rams acquired in the March 9 trade that sent defensive end William Hayes to the Miami Dolphins, they chose Virginia Tech fullback Sam Rogers with the 206th overall choice.
The Rams sent their seventh-round choice to the Dolphins, the 223rd overall selection, as part of the Hayes trade. They acquired the 16th choice in the seventh round in a 2015 trade which sent receiver Chris Givens to the Baltimore Ravens and used it on Pittsburgh defensive end Ejuan Price.
The choices were announced at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, the site of the Rams draft party.
Following the conclusion of the draft, the Rams announced they had agreed to terms with 11 undrafted free agents, including UCLA defensive back Ishmael Adams and USC running back Justin Davis.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Adams pleaded no contest last May to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 20 days of community labor, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and psychological counseling and placed on 36 months probation.
The Uber driver Adams was accused of assaulting on Aug. 30, 2015, Cuong Quoc Tudo, filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 29, 2016, seeking unspecified damages on allegations of assault and battery, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
