The Los Angeles Rams waived quarterback Aaron Murray Thursday.
Murray was signed by the Rams on March 23 and participated in their voluntary veterans minicamp.
Murray’s departure leaves Jared Goff and Sean Mannion as the only quarterbacks on the Rams roster.
Murray was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, who waived him in September. He then signed with the Arizona Cardinals, who also cut him.
Murray spent most of the 2016 season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. Murray has never played in an NFL game.
Murray handed off to Rams running back Todd Gurley at Georgia for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
