Retired two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning will host the 2017 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, ESPN announced Tuesday.

Manning received an ESPY Icon Award during last year’s ceremony, as did former Laker Kobe Bryant and retired U.S. women’s soccer player Abby Wambach.

“It’s an honor to be asked to host the ESPYs, and it’s even more meaningful that it’s the 25th year for this incredible event,” Manning said. “The ESPYs have been a part of my life during my entire career. I can still remember attending my very first show back in 1998 before my rookie season in the NFL.”

Manning led the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl championship in 2015. He spent the first 14 seasons of his career with the Indianapolis Colts, winning a Super Bowl there in 2007.

The ESPY Awards will be held July 12 at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
