The game will played Jan. 6 or Jan. 7 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The date and time will be announced Sunday after completion of play of the day’s NFL games.
Tickets went on sale earlier in the week to season ticket holders, 2018 season ticket deposit holders and 2017 flex plan holders.
The Rams made around 65,000 tickets available for each of their home regular-season and playoff games this season. “The number may be slightly higher” for the playoffs, Joanna Hunter, a Rams corporate communications official, told City News Service.
The Coliseum’s capacity is approximately 93,000, but the team decided not to utilize its full capacity this season “to improve the in-stadium experience” and set “us up for the capacity at the new L.A. Stadium,” Hunter said, referring to the facility under construction in Inglewood where the Rams are set to begin play in 2020 with a capacity of about 70,000.
The Rams used the Coliseum’s full capacity in 2016, their first season back in Southern California.
