The Los Angeles Chargers announced Friday they have signed former Philadelphia Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis to a two-year contract, the second kicker they have signed this off-season.

Sturgis made all three of his field goal attempts in the Eagles season- opening 30-17 victory over Washington on Sept. 10, but suffered a hip injury, was placed on injured reserve two days later and not reactivated.

Sturgis made a team-record 35 field goals for Philadelphia in 2016.

Sturgis was selected in the fifth round of the 2013 draft out of Florida by the Miami Dolphins, who he kicked for in the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He was released by the Dolphins eight days before the start of the 2015 season, then signed by the Eagles 23 days later after Cody Parkey suffered a groin injury.

The Chargers announced the signing of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Roberto Aguayo on Jan. 10.

The Chargers used four kickers during the 2017 season.
