LeBron James would likely set another NBA record Thursday evening if he’s healthy enough to play when the Lakers face the Kings in Sacramento.

If James plays 10 minutes, he will break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s regular-season career minutes record of 57,446. However, James is listed as questionable due to what the Lakers are calling “left foot injury management.”

James had also been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies at Crypto.com Arena due to left foot injury management. About 45 minutes before the 6:30 p.m. game, he was upgraded to available and played 34 minutes, scoring 18 points and passing for a game-high equaling eight assists in the 116-110 victory after missing the previous two games because of a left foot injury.

James broke Abdul-Jabbar’s combined regular season and playoff career record of 66,297 on Nov. 27, 2023, when he played 29 minutes in a 138-94 loss at Philadelphia that gave him a combined 66,318 minutes. He has since increased that total to 69,295.
