One person was killed early Friday when an SUV and sedan collided on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Calabasas.
The crash was reported at 2:01 a.m. on the southbound Ventura Freeway just south of Mureau Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers at the scene reported two people in one vehicle were taken by ambulance to a hospital in Los Robles for treatment.
One of those transported was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:48 a.m., CHP Officer Erik Larsen told City News Service.
The status of the occupants of the other vehicle was not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
