A person was killed Sunday morning when a pickup truck rear ended a big rig and caught fire on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 4:15 a.m. on the westbound freeway, near the Fair Oaks Avenue off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A representative from the Medical Examiner’s office was called to the location at 4:34 a.m.
A SigAlert was issued at 4:31 a.m closing the transition road from the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway to the Ventura (134) Freeway for unknown duration.
There was no other immediate information available.
