At least five people were injured Sunday in a two-vehicle collision in the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The crash happened about 7 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of North Wilmington Boulevard and West Opp Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.
A utility pole was damaged along with the two vehicles, Miller said. Officers called for two ambulances to transport the injured to hospitals.
One of the cars was seen with heavy damage to its hood after crashing into the utility pole and the other was tossed to the center of the intersection, according KTLA5. The station reported that five people were injured.
The identities of the victims were unconfirmed and the nature of their injuries was not disclosed.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
