At least one person was trapped inside a vehicle after a three-car, wrong-way crash on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway Thursday.
California Highway Patrol responded at 3:06 a.m. to the eastbound freeway and the Baldwin Avenue off-ramp where they learned a black Honda sedan was driving the wrong way on the freeway and ran into a white vehicle, triggering a multi-car crash, a CHP spokesman told City News Service.
Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters freed the driver of the Honda, who was trapped inside the vehicle, the CHP said. He was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The CHP closed the off-ramp of the eastbound freeway while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
