The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the eighth consecutive day, decreasing 1.1 cents to $4.727, its lowest amount since March 28.
The average price has dropped 7.9 cents over the past eight days, including 1.1 cents Tuesday, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.5 cents less than one week ago, 2.1 cents lower than one month ago and 25.6 cents below what it was one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.766 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the eighth time in nine days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.64, its lowest amount since March 27. It has dropped 7.5 cents over the past nine days, including 1.3 cents Tuesday. It decreased six consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed dropping Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 6.3 cents less than one week ago, 4.4 cents lower than one month ago and 24.4 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.818 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The run of 10 decreases in 11 days to the national average price totaling 5.9 cents ended with an increase of seven-tenths of a cent to $3.144. It is 1.9 cents less than one week ago, 2.1 cents lower than one month ago and 37.4 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.872 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
