A person was pronounced dead after vehicles were moved off the San Diego (405) Freeway from a crash Monday near the Getty Center.
The crash was first reported at 3:32 a.m. on the northbound San Diego Freeway just south of Getty Center Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. One vehicle was in the HOV lane and the other was facing the wrong way.
Firefighters started CPR on one person at 3:51 a.m., after the vehicles were moved off the freeway.
A doctor from UCLA Medical Center pronounced the person dead and the Medical Examiner’s office was requested at 4:37 a.m., according to CHP Officer M. Curtis.
The name, gender and age of the victim and crash details was not released.
