The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Monday, remaining at $4.519, one day after dropping one-tenth of a cent to its lowest amount since Jan. 31.
The average price is 3.9 cents less than one week ago, 12.9 cents lower than one month ago and 21.7 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $1.974 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.461, its lowest amount since Jan. 31. It has dropped 10 the past 11 days, decreasing 4.3 cents, including two-tenths of a cent Sunday. The average price dropped five consecutive days, rose a half-cent Wednesday, then resumed decreasing the next day.
The Orange County average price is 3.4 cents less than one week ago, 10.1 cents lower than one month ago and 19.1 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.997 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.153 after three consecutive decreases totaling 1.9 cents, including four-tenths of a cent Sunday. It is 1 cent more than one week ago and 2 cents higher than one month ago but 36.9 cents less than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.863 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
