The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County Tuesday dropped one-tenth of a cent for the second time in three days to $4.467, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but 9.3 cents less than one month ago and 13.7 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $2.026 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $4.41 after three consecutive decreases totaling 1 cent, including three-tenths of a cent Monday. It is a half-cent more than one week ago but 9.1 cents less than one month ago and 11 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.048 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose 1.1 cents to $3.163, its sixth increase in seven days. It has risen 2.7 cents over the past seven days, including two-tenths of a cent Monday. The national average price rose four consecutive days, dropped two-tenths of a cent Sunday and resumed decreasing Monday.
The national average price is 1.5 cents more than one month ago but 30.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.853 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
