The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Monday to $4.469, one day after increasing three-tenths of a cent.
The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago, but 6.1 cents less than one month ago and 9.5 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the American Automobile Association and the Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $2.024 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $4.42, one day after increasing four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, but 5.3 cents less than one month ago and 6.5 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.038 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price decreased for the fifth consecutive day, but barely, dropping one-tenth of a cent to $3.138. It has dropped 3.2 cents over the past five days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The national average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago, 2.9 cents lower than one month ago and 30.7 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.878 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
