The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday to $4.477, one day after dropping six-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 1.1 cents more than one week ago but 1.4 cents less than one month ago and 8.6 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped $2.016 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped for the second consecutive day following a nine-day streak of increases totaling 3.5 cents, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.442. It is 1.7 cents more than one week ago and 1.3 cents higher than one month ago but 4.2 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $2.015 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

A five-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 3 cents ended with an increase of three-tenths of a cent to $3.133. The streak of decreases followed a three-day streak of increases totaling 2.2 cents.

The national average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, seven-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 27.1 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.883 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
