The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.641, one day after increasing one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is 2.7 cents more than one week ago, 17.3 cents higher than one month ago and 3.2 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.852 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price resumed increasing, rising three-tenths of a cent to $4.611, one day after a 13-day streak of increases totaling 16.8 cents ended with a decrease of two-tenths of a cent. It is 3.4 cents more than one week ago, 20.3 cents higher than one month ago and 7.1 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $1.847 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose 1.1 cents to $3.201, one day after increasing four-tenths of a cent. It is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 11.5 cents lower than one year ago but 4.9 cents more than month ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.815 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
