Closures along a stretch of Agoura Road in Agoura Hills will resume next week as construction continues on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.

The closures will begin Monday and continue through July 1, according to Caltrans. They will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive and no through traffic of any kind, including motorists, cyclists or pedestrians, will be permitted within the closure during scheduled work hours.

Some construction activity may occur on weekends, but no closures will take place during those times, according to Caltrans.

Drivers were advised to expect delays and use alternate local routes.

Free shuttle service will operate every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help pedestrians and cyclists travel around the closed section of road.

The crossing is being built to allow mountain lions and other animals to safely cross the Ventura (101) Freeway between the Santa Monica Mountains and Simi Hills.
