Lane closures will be in place in both directions of the Golden State (5) Freeway near Castaic beginning Monday for an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project.
From Monday to next Friday, one northbound and one southbound lane of the freeway may be closed at various locations between Lake Hugues Road to three miles south of Templin Highway, according to Caltrans.
The closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, the agency announced.
The construction is part of a project started in 2022.
Crews are replacing concrete slabs, upgrading drainage systems and guardrail, repairing and stabilizing slopes through rock scaling and installing geogrid, and constructing a retaining wall, according to Caltrans.
