The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose to its highest amount since Oct. 4, 2023, Monday, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $6.183.
The average price has risen 12 consecutive days, increasing 26.3 cents, including 1.1 cents Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The streak of increases follows a 14-day streak of decreases totaling 12.8 cents.
The average price is 14.2 cents more than one week ago, 15.5 cents higher than one month ago and $1.435 above what it was one year ago. It has risen $1.489 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran Feb. 28, moving within 31.1 cents of the record $6.494 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Oct. 3, 2023, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $6.155. It has increased 13 consecutive days, rising 30.8 cents, including 1 cent Sunday.
The Orange County average price is 16.5 cents more than one week ago, 20.1 cents higher than one month ago and $1.471 above what it was one year ago. It has risen $1.519 since the attack on Iran, moving within 30.4 cents of the record $6.459 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose to its highest amount since July 20, 2022, increasing 1.1 cents to $4.457. It has risen 12 consecutive days, increasing 43.7 cents, including 7.1 cents Sunday.
The national average price is 34.6 cents more than one week ago, 35.3 cents higher than one month ago and $1.292 above what it was one year ago. It has risen $1.475 since the attack on Iran, moving within 55.9 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
