Authorities shut down traffic Thursday on the San Diego (405) Freeway at Edinger Avenue as a person scaled a fence and was clinging to a pole.
California Highway Patrol officials were alerted to the incident about 12:35 p.m. Thursday. According to the CHP, the person appeared to be intoxicated. A description of he person was not available.
CHP personnel were working to open lanes of traffic about 2:15 p.m. as Huntington Beach police attempted to talk the person down, CHP Officer Tyler Yonezawa said.
