Overnight lane closures will be in effect Monday along a stretch of Topanga Canyon Boulevard for guardrail work.

One lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard/State Route 27 between Entrada Drive and Pacific Coast Highway will be open to traffic in both directions from as early as 10 p.m. to as late as 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday morning, according to Caltrans.

Flaggers will direct alternating traffic through the open lane. The locations of the one-way traffic controls may move throughout the night, with signs posted to alert motorists traveling in both directions.

Motorists were advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes during construction hours.

Caltrans also advised residents and businesses near the highway to expect construction-related noise, vibrations and dust.

The guardrail work is part of a pavement rehabilitation project along more than 18 miles of State Route 27 from Pacific Coast Highway to Devonshire Street in Chatsworth.

The project also includes repaving and upgrades to curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons and bus pads. Work on the San Fernando Valley portion has been completed, according to Caltrans.

The overall project is expected to be completed in summer 2027.
