A 55-hour closure of the connector road from the eastbound Marina (90) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway will begin Friday in Culver City.
The closure was due to begin at 10 p.m. Friday and last until 5 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.
Traffic will be detoured during closure.
As an alternative, motorists can continue east on the 90 Freeway, bypassing the 405, and exit at Slauson Avenue. From there, drivers should turn west onto Slauson and continue west on Jefferson Boulevard to the southbound 405 on-ramp.
Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise and vibrations associated with construction activities, Caltrans warned.
The work is part of a $475,000 project to repair damaged approach and roadway slabs.
