The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Friday, for K-rail installation and paving. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in some areas in both directions, according to Caltrans.
Intermittent closures are scheduled each night as follows:

— Up to four northbound lanes between Wilshire Boulevard and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive;
— The Getty Center Drive off/on-ramp to the northbound 405;
— Up to five northbound lanes between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard;
— The Sepulveda Boulevard off/on-ramp to the southbound 405;
— Up to four southbound lanes between the Ventura (101) Freeway and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive;
— The Burbank Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 405;
— The northbound 101 connector to the southbound 405; and

Residents and businesses near the construction may experience noise, vibrations and dust, according to Caltrans.

The work is part of the I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood and is intended to improve safety and mobility and extend the life of the freeway pavement.
