A small brush fire broke out when a car went over the side a road Sunday above Chatsworth, striking a power pole and causing minor injuries to one person.
The crash was reported at 2:35 p.m. in the 10800 block of North Santa Susana Pass Road, Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
A male in the vehicle was in fair condition when taken to a hospital, Stewart said.
The fire was knocked down by 2:54 p.m., she said. It burned about one-third of an acre.
A large contingency of firefighters was scrambled to fight the fire, by the city as well as Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
