The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped four-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.485, one day after a 20-day streak of increases ended with an decrease of one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is 2.6 cents more than one week ago, 12.5 cents higher than one month ago and 51.9 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose 12.2 cents during the streak to its highest amount since Aug. 29, 2015. It has risen 41.2 cents since the start of the year.
