A small earthquake struck Thursday morning east of the San Gorgonio Pass and was felt in parts of Riverside County.
The magnitude-3.3 temblor struck at 5:38 a.m. at a depth of 10.6 miles, its epicenter about 7 miles east-northeast of Cabazon, according to a computer-generated USGS report.
Reports on the USGS “Did You Feel It?” map showed moderate shaking could be felt just west of Hemet.
Light shaking was reported in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Thousand Palms, Palm Desert, Idyllwild, San Jacinto, south of Sun City and just east of Murrieta.
No damage or injuries were reported.
