A 74-year-old Jurupa Valley man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes was reported found Tuesday morning after going missing and a Silver Alert was issued.

Marcos Campos-Ochoa had last been seen in La Verne about 7 p.m. Monday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

“As of (Tuesday), 1:20 AM, Mr. Campos-Ochoa has been located safe and sound, and reunited with his family,” the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department tweeted. “Thank you to our wonderful communities for your assistance.”

It was unclear where and when Ochoa was located.

The purpose of the Silver Alert program is to establish a quick response system designed to issue and coordinate alerts following the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of an elderly person, or a person who is developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired, according to the California Highway Patrol.
